The vineyard sits above 1300 feet and features heavily calcareous soils.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eVaccarèse is one of the rarest grapes in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, with just over 10 acres planted there and a mere one acre here at this site. As far as we know, this is one of two vineyards in North America that grow this grape. We are always thrilled to work with this rare and unique variety! It's a grape with undoubted southern Rhône character but with added characteristics and structure reminiscent of Mondeuse.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn 2025, the Vaccarèse spent 14 days on the skins with 50% whole cluster inclusion.  After fermentation, the wine was pressed and aged in neutral French oak barrels for 10 months.
